Tourism Demand Elasticities by Income and Prices of International Market Regions: Evidence Using Vietnam’s Data

This study aims to determine tourism demand elasticities by income and prices of regions, as well total international markets. It is deployed a 10 major source markets two separate from Asia intercontinental Vietnam. The results data analysis for the period 1995–2019 using nonlinear panel ARDL approach show that Asian Vietnam strongly elastic, but relatively price inelastic. Tourism in less elastic price, it quite sensitive, especially own elasticities. In addition, different effects are found most Study have provided useful insights into types goods sensitivity between market degree substitute destinations.
